Mental Health Voices

Mental Health Voices is Canadian Mental Health Association Vancouver-Burnaby branch's (CMHA) signature fund raising event. It is one of our annual campaign strategies to generate operating revenue to maintain CMHA existing programs. The event is held in celebration of Mental Illness Awareness Week.

Diamond Dinner

This is a fundraising event hosted by the Canadian Mental Health Association and the Child Development Centre benefiting its member agencies.  It is held in early November each year, and includes a gourmet dinner, as well as live auctions, silent auctions, raffles,  and door prizes. Talk Back

A Six Week program for women, 19 years old and up, which covers a variety of topics including: Talk Back Poster or Talk Back Brochure

  1. Group Session one : Stressors
    Identifying your stressors, managing life’s stressors, the good and the bad of stress and coping strategies
  2. Group Session Two : Strengthening
    Discovering your strengths, unlocking the secrets to self awareness; managing a person with strong strengths; dealing with difficult people, the stages of anger
  3. Group Session Three : Co-dependency and Addictive Behaviors
    A Sheep in Wolves Clothing, Co-dependency what is this? Co-dependency Characteristics, Setting Goals – getting on track to a healthier self.
  4. Group Session Four: Healthy Relationships
    Disassociation: Life through a Lens; Cycle of Violence; Survey for identifying strengths and how to get then to work for you, Would you marry yourself? Drama Triangle – are you caught up in it?
