Williams Lake Clubhouse

The Williams Lake Clubhouse opened September 1, 1989.  It is a multipurpose space for meetings, activities and workshops,  and includes a kitchen area and laundry facilities.  The Clubhouse is based on a general Clubhouse idea,  with members electing their own Board of Directors at annual meetings.  The Board of Directors, together with the program co-ordinator, organizes the overall structure of activities.  There is a $1.00 per year membership fee and a coffee fund with monthly contributions.

The Drop-In Program provides an opportunity for family members and friends of any mental health client for social interaction.

The Work Centre Program was established in July 1990.  It provides clients with opportunities to learn basic safety rules, building maintenance and janitorial skills as well as  manual, and pre-vocational skills such as operating various woodworking tools and equipment.

The Craft-O-Rama Store opened in 1982.  It was originally based at Jubilee House and moved to the Clubhouse in 1989.  It features products made  by clients at the Clubhouse, including bird houses, planter boxes, picnic tables,  and various other seasonal items and gifts,  and serves as a source to raise funds for social and recreational activities for the clients.
